Your load history is what freight AI is missing.
Brokerage runs on negotiation over email, tied to a TMS and an accounting system. That linked trail of tenders, offers, rate confirmations and claims is exactly what companies building freight AI need, and it can be de-identified without losing what makes it useful.
Why buyers want brokerage records
AI agents that negotiate rates and book loads over email are already in production at brokerages (FreightWaves). To get better, they need real examples of how experienced reps make the small calls behind every load: which carriers to call, when to push on rate, what to do when a pickup slips.
Public data has none of this. Your inbox, TMS and books have years of it, linked by load numbers.
Records buyers ask for
| Record | Where it usually lives | Why buyers value it |
|---|---|---|
| Carrier and shipper email | Gmail, Outlook | The negotiation itself: offers, counters and the reasons behind them |
| Load and tender history | TMS, such as McLeod, Aljex, Turvo or Revenova | Ties each conversation to a lane, a rate and an outcome |
| Rate confirmations and BOLs | PDFs in email or the TMS | Structured documents agents must read and produce |
| Check calls and exceptions | TMS notes, email, chat | How problems get noticed and fixed |
| Claims | Email, shared drives | Disputes with clear outcomes |
| Receivables and payables | QuickBooks, Xero, factoring portals | Closes the loop: billed, paid, short-paid |
One workflow, start to finish
Buyers pay most for complete chains like this one, where every step links to the next through a shared ID.
- EmailTender arrives
A shipper emails a Joliet, IL to Columbus, OH load for Thursday pickup.
- TMSLoad created
The rep enters and posts the load with a target buy rate.
- EmailCarrier offers
Three carriers reply; the rep counters the highest and books the second.
- PDFRate confirmation
Rate con sent and signed; carrier authority and insurance checked.
- EmailException
Pickup slips four hours; the rep updates the shipper and moves the delivery appointment.
- PDFProof of delivery
Signed POD attached to the load.
- AccountingInvoice and payment
Shipper invoiced, carrier paid, margin recorded.

What we handle differently in freight
- Drivers and dispatchers. Names and phone numbers are replaced with consistent stand-ins.
- Carrier MC and DOT numbers. Replaced, because many carriers are single owner-operators and these numbers identify a person.
- GPS and ELD history. Coarsened to city level or dropped. Precise location is treated as sensitive under California privacy law and federal bulk-data rules.
- Addresses. Shipper and consignee streets are removed; city and state stay so lanes still make sense.
- Rates. Kept by default, or scaled or banded if your customer contracts make rates confidential.
What stays out
- Load-board data you license from third parties
- Driver qualification files and drug and alcohol testing records
- Payroll and HR files
- Anything under a litigation hold
